You contain worlds

You contain worlds. You can meet, create, make something happen, even as these things are going on in you: digestion, birthing of new cells, dying of old, things meeting and interacting. And so you are doing the same in your worlds—meeting and interacting and stirring. And this constant motion means that you have the chance to transform the world, you can take responsibility for making the world in which you’d love to live.

It is very concrete. It means meeting with people. Truly meeting, letting them change you as much or more than you seek to change them. Your business can meet their needs if you ask them what their needs are and get them involved in making the decisions for your business. This is transforming work—it is not simply taking surveys, but letting the mix change the mix. It is workings of a compost heap.

Going-deeper work

Transformation is going deeper work, toward bedrock, which for us is as the bedrock of atoms: moving, always moving, nothing solid, solid is an illusion brought to us by movement, and transformation is the work of all of us. Transformation is moving us along this winding spiraling deepening path from I-It to I-Thou, to Among us, to Poetry, to Whole-making. When we arrive we find there are ever more spirals.

The task is urgent: we think we are separate, we feel threatened, we scream instead of singing, we stop our ears and whistle a tune to block out the world: we hurt. We hurt until we see the need of healing…others. So we begin the spiraling journey to healing once more. If enough of us work on healing, we might get there quicker each time, and get done some work forward.

Transformation is your business

Transformation is my business, my life, my work in the world. I am all about conversation which is transformation—not of people as the end but of worlds and of the betweens of people.

Four effects from one event

When we meet, hear, take in, and include, we have the possibility of some change, slight or otherwise, in each of us. There is also the opening for an us to develop and maybe transform. These three persons so touched are moved to tickle the world. Four effects from one event. They can even be increased if there is push back.

Footprints in the Windsm # 1097

Our efforts might not be used. Then again, they might be. Therein lives hope. But even the ants who don’t find the picnic have contributed.

Meeting: possibility: hope

Meeting involves not assurance of transformation (if all meetings were true meeting, perhaps it would be assured), but possibility: hope.

Divisiveness means we have healing work to do

The divisions we see in the world—severe and small—remind us we have healing work to do. It is on-going work, with a place for each one’s hands. Bring flesh together with flesh, allow life to knit us together to go out and make a creating inclusive larger world.

What conversation transforms people:

Meaningful conversation transforms people. It disorganizes them just a little bit, and reorients them to the larger, the compassionate.

Making new people

Transforming people is making new people. It is an ever ongoing process: this one meets that, then that meets another, and all three are different, have become several people. It may even be that one is affected by three, even though they have not yet met.

your mind takes flight….

You are reading and your mind takes flight. It refuses to come back to the page, no matter how many times you pull it back. Pay heed! Your spirit is telling you there is something fun here, just off the page, something valuable. Explore. Transformation is just around the corner.
