don’t know where this is going

I don’t know where this is going to take us. I know that your objection or detour is an important part of where we need to go. I need to go to some place deeper with this, for if we keep this on the surface we go no deeper than a boat upon the lake. We miss the wisdom, we miss the wholeness of us, we miss the little wiggly swimming living things.

scary to think

It’s scary to think getting lost is the way
worse to have someone tell us
even more to have them take us by the hand

Dementia might
house wisdom
even further growth
some of us feared
that first day of school

It’s not niceness

Care is a financial transaction
Caring is compassion
Fellow-being (not feeling)
It’s not niceness
It’s getting to real

Footprints in the Windsm # 1516–We contain

Footprints in the Windsm # 1516

We contain
We contain atoms
Are not made of them
Rather they of us
We contain each of us
Are not made of us
Rather us of we
We are made of moving
The ground on which we stand
Is space ceaselessly moving
Moving around little electrons
This ground we call solid
Itself flying around a gassy fire-ball
The body is not made of
Arms legs ears and smile
Rather the other way around
If we but see it
All we see
Is made of the whole
Moving

Alzheimer’s does not have to be dis-ease

Alzheimer’s does not have to be a dis-ease. What if it were a going further? What if the plaques and tangles were growth of the person? What if we are so blind that years from now people will shake their heads at us?
