Footprints in the Windsm # 1203–Skies, washing and watering

Footprints in the Windsm # 1203

Skies, washing and watering: Mother Nature seems to be doing that a lot more these days. Have we brought some of the excess upon ourselves? Is earth trying to wash away our dirt? The lady has had slop buckets emptied on her; she wants nothing so much as to shower and shampoo.

If we work to clean up our mess, will the earth settle into an equilibrium, become again friendly?

Meeting meeting meeting

Meeting conversation, meeting the world, meeting G*d: this is my charge.

Depths plumbing my depths

What are the depths of this one which will plumb the depths of me? What depths might we invent among us? Invent in both senses—the modern creating and the ancient finding what already exists, even as Platonic forms.

Not just inviting

My charge is meeting, meeting you in everyman, everywoman—not just telling others to meet.

Confusing existence with personal standpoints

Do we but confuse existence with a personal standpoint, as if it were the province of the ego?

Is salvation purely a matter for your individual soul and there is no place for the whole? Must it be us vs them, us ahead of them, get, get, get?

Prophesy and walk

There is a work I yet have to do—to go beyond the conversation message—to meet the Really Real on behalf of creation—to undertake this task of discovering and creating and conversing ever more profoundly. Prophesy yes, and walk.

We can meet the is that is our is

We can meet the is that is our is and all is: yet we can barely conceive this meeting. We think to meet the other needs to be like us, yet this is is not like us: this is is us and is at the same time more than us, is the very is of all, is the very is of something more than the all.

Searching each other is difficult

Searching each other is difficult: it is the stuff of the conversation of which I speak. How do we search each other without being searched, having our soul opened, butterflied with a scalpel, displayed on a wall for all to see? It is best done kindly and gently, knowing that the knife we use on the other will be next handed to them; perhaps we’d best use it on our own darkening spots first. So far I speak only of essential fairness; but into what do we cut? Through the muscle, through the bone, to the marrow: what is the essence of us? What decision have we made to be living as we are? What is the core and heart of our living? Is it life or is it deadly? Is it about filling our stomachs or putting rings on our fingers, or is it about some larger world, people beyond our skins? Is it about our own soul’s salvation, or repair of the world? Is it about meeting our own ego’s demands or meeting divinity in our days? With whom is the conversation in our hearts?

A week’s softening glimpses

A week’s softening glimpses:
A living in the decision
What is the decision
To which I am called?
Intricate simplicity
Gathering point
Searching each other
Open as the day

Dancing around the edges

Something dancing around the edges of my consciousness this morning, about oneness and simplicity, about how underlying all is your intricate song of simplicity, something about love and gathering points, and the hum underneath. You are this. Somehow you are both in us and more than us and we have all of you accessible to us. Something also about the higher within each of us that we can simply reach inside and touch and from there live and move and have, have our being. We have what we need.

is our roisterous play

as divine gifts, brilliant
then we too become brilliant
we move out of our
dull bored existence into

Footprints in the Windsm # 1201–Horses next door

Footprints in the Windsm # 1201

The horses next door
Watching me in expectant silence
Have me asking
Might they be
A superior intelligence to ours
Gently eating the grass
From my hand
Allowing me to pet their soft noses
Watching me as I pick up sticks,
Mow my grass, do my work
Pondering the trivial things
That hold my attention
Communicating with me
Some eternal truths
Or profound wisdom
In a language
Yet too elevated
For our species to comprehend?
