…good enough for me/…

Being with God is good enough for me
Nothing doing, quiet, resting, watching sunrises
Yet is this also transforming?

We transform God

Transforming from what to what? We are beginning to see it is from A to B: not an absolute or a norm that we then become, but that we are constantly in relationship with the All There Is, and that is by nature in flux, so we must change ever. You can never step into the same river twice holds also for the river of touching God. You can never step into the same wind twice. We transform each other! God transforms me and I transform God.

Transformation then is the Way and the Destination. Once we get there, we transform some more. We meet some more and meeting is perhaps pure transformation, for we cannot meet a cast concrete human being. That is why a lifetime marriage is new each day.

Relationship, meeting, transformation:
all are movement:
we are invited to be like God
meeting, relating, transforming ever

Butter melts

Butter melts and becomes one with all the melting butter, one with the air surrounding, sometimes one with the flames. There is one thing happening, nourishing. When we give our heart into the greater heart we become the greater, we are central to the larger.

Your heart/Sacrifice to us/…

Your heart
Sacrifice to us
To some few you may give
Your liver
It is of you
We desire
Only this
If your heart only
We have
All
Give for all
And all you shall have

Gathering more silence

There are times when we try to gather more silence, but each effort opens to us more sounds of the world.

Sacrifice for and sacrifice of

There is a sacrifice for, and a sacrifice of: sacrifice for the all, the larger; and sacrifice of self. This is the difference between the depersonalizing giving up of self by women of our day to become (if at all existing) less than husband and children and family, and the revolutionizing giving up of self for the world by such as Jesus. It is involving the whole being that makes this larger sacrifice. The emphasis is on whole. Investing the whole being makes it holy. Strong sacrifice is not giving up of the self, rather self engagement. Not self divesting but investing of self.

It is about investing the whole self into something larger. As I see the setting, women in our day sacrifice in the sense of becoming nobody, rather than becoming larger. It seems to me a difference of direction that looks like the same thing, but going in 180 degrees different direction. Like fear being repulsion and awe being attraction, the little, the weaker sacrifice is negating the soul, while the larger and the stronger sacrifice is expanding the soul.

Sacred at the center

The sacred at the center
Sacred at the center
Of The All That Is
Is it other?
Or is it essence?
Or some of each?
Or beyond?
Sacred at the center
Are we
Seed in the plum
Wind in the sails
Have we
Sacred at the center
Holding us
Holding all
Weaving all
Together
Sacred at the center
Be we noun
Be we verb
Be the sacred
More than more
Sacred at the center
All I know is
Each one I meet
Each setting I walk into
Each moment
Sacred at the center
Drawing me out
Sending me out
To be, to touch the
Sacred at the center
Butterfly—sacred at the center
Breeze—sacred at the center
You, I, We—
Sacred at the center

Footprints in the Windsm # 1095–Beyond our selves, beyond our times

Footprints in the Windsm # 1095

We are creating worlds, just by meeting. When we meet, we start something in motion. Things in motion reach out beyond ourselves, in space and in time. We start things larger than us, things that outlive us.

“Greater love” may just mean

“Greater love” may just mean “has received no one save they give their lives for their friends.” Such is the love of everyday mothers and fathers, daughters and sons in caring for families. Such love is available to us.

Alzheimer’s and brain cells: perhaps

Perhaps in Alzheimer’s the brain is not shrinking, it is only not producing new cells. Maybe this disease tells us how a brain works, making freshest memory at the edges. Maybe in studying the disease we can learn about the regular processes.

the perfume of a lovely woman

G*d is the perfume of a lovely woman which, even as we are working with her on some task, pleasantly wafts around us, and when she is no longer in front of us yet lingers.

Footprints in the Windsm # 1094–I am healing the earth/…

Footprints in the Windsm # 1094

I am healing the earth
I am bringing the divisions back together
I am companion of G*d
Creator of worlds
Did I hear one say I contain worlds!?
Well, so do I!
So do we all
But those who are blind society calls clear-seeing
& those who see, insane
Their words & their chains
We must for the children’s sake throw off
For our grandchildren’s sake
We are healing the earth
—or letting it suffer
We are bringing the divisions together
—or letting them scream at the children
(we’re all children)
We are companions of G*d
—or killers
We are creators of worlds
—or destroyers
We contain worlds!
What did we do with them, today?
