G*d as threads?

What if we saw G*d as threads across each other? What would you expect when threads touch? Sparks, glimmers, flashes! Each something or someone aborning, winking, going, here for an instant, bringing light, heat, flow. All necessary to the patterns and rhythms—irreplaceable. What if we saw? Who has ears to hear?

This much we know:

This much we know: the world is populated by the spirits of humans. Here is where we find ourselves, to work. This is our window.

Does a bird see the air?

Does a bird see the air
or just feel?
Currents and drafts
Up and down
Freshness and deadness
Aliveness and welcome?
What do we know
of the airs
wisping round us?

How is it G*d speaks to us to speak in meeting?

How is it G*d speaks to us to speak in meeting? The All There Is is within and flowing among us. There is a call, a need, a friending, praying to us, inviting us, expanding us: which we can heed. Heeding we repair the world. That is as black and white as it gets: heed the call to meet others. G*d is flowing among us, flowing us. Transparently.

G*d-humans: Yes, and

I see Original Life. So it is the All there is and G*d about which I write this morning.

If we are fishers of humankind, we are fishers of G*d. G*d is among us, part of us, like us. The reverse way of saying it is also true: We are among G*d, we are part of G*d, we are like G*d.

So if we see G*d as the all there is, then when we hook a fish we hook G*d. But if we are to hook the heart of G*d we need to hook the heart of the all there is. We can communicate with other humans, so at least we can see the heart of them; this is the way into the rabbit hole for us.

It is a strange world for us, strange yet our heart’s home: We are in the arms of G*d, G*d is personal to us, yet is not any personification.

The real question, for the moment anyway, is what that hyphen means: G*d-humankind. It is a sluiceway. It is intercourse. It is interrelation. It is interplay. It is touching being touched. It is creating. It is whatever is the essence of love. It is coming together and sending out. It is respiration.

If we are fishers of G*d we of necessity are fishers of humankind.

Does G*d stand opposite us? Buber holds Yes. I say Yes and. We are part of G*d. It is impossible for us to be separate as my liver is not separate from me. We are locked together, one dies the other soon thereafter. I can have a relationship to my liver, I can converse with it, but ultimately we are one. Yes and.

We can do our little jobs, cleaning up the trash, getting our share of the food, sheltering ourselves and our children, ignoring, even warring against others who are doing likewise. Or we can fish for G*d in whatever way we find to do so. I AM is the Way. The All There Is. If your hook is an old man with a beard and you relate by feeling guilt, then so be it. There is a freer way, but some want their chains, maybe need them. Did Jesus save me? Yes, he showed me that humans are divine, that G*d is with us, that I am the salt of the earth. Jesus was after freeing us, whole-ing us, getting us busy loving, justice-ing, that is, showing us that we are each part of the All There Is. As parts, so wholes: holograms of G*d.

Sadness of position of dominance

Sadly sometimes people in a position of dominance lose sight of what they set out to do. They convince themselves that side issues, like money, are The Big Question.

Living others into living

Friend, you are living possibly. You make life possible, you change and are changed for you are life, living, living others into living.

Where is life possible?

We are always in a situation. So what is the situation? Look for the obvious. Ask Where is life possible here?

Leaning in, making life possible

Leaning in and making life possible for another, for others—to me these are tied together: An inclination to give permission to be, and that be is in changing each other. Changing each other is ontic.

We only know we exist if we change from what we were.

So it seems. Like new physics: we can know the speed, the trajectory and the location of a quantum particle, but never all three at once. We can know the speed, the direction and the location of a person, but not all three at once. Existence is movement. Existence is moving.

Permission to be…making life possible…inclination to change the other…and be changed. Changing is making life possible. Changing is life. To change is to live. To live is to change. To change is to make life possible.

We disturb the soil and new seeds can lodge there, new air and sun infiltrate, new spores alight, roots can stretch farther: voilà! Life!

So this gives me a new way to approach people: with an inclination to change, to make life possible!

We must work to change

We must work to change
To give our part
Or we just repeat what our ancestors did
& Our descendants will too
Meaninglessly

Is there wrong in that?
Not for the fox who kills to eat to kill again
But for us Purpose has a place
And we are given Permission to change this life
And Invitation

If we accept the Invitation to live
We have to try to change
The cycles
Deflect the trajectory to a better
Make mid course corrections
Rip a new path
Change each other
Invite—Invite—others to change us

There is a cycle
Your father labored all his days
Soon it was your turn at the wheel
Before it is your daughter’s
Lift your head
Shatter our manacles
Lift the spiral
Life is our Invitation to change

When you are writing poetry ask

When you are writing poetry ask
Not just Is this true? But also
How can I make this true
Give this effect?

Liiving possibly

This is significant. It is larger than these words may hint. Changing people is making life possible. Conversation allows us to change our trajectory. Conversation brings forth some ones new. This is its large work. Life is G*d. So this is a theological statement as well. Conversation is for making G*d possible. Possible in people’s lives. How can we separate G*d out of life out of people people out of life the all there is out of G*d out of the all there is? Not tangled rather entwined branching one life. There is only one life. It extends beyond generations and is generating. Conversation is about living, living possibly.

We die when we separate

We are in process, we are in the middle. We exist when we are in the middle, we die when we separate ourselves.
