Humility in changing the world

What do we want from conversation? What do we want from changing the world? To make it the way we want it, or to give it the correct direction? It is hubris to think that one person knows how the world should look; it is humility to say we want it to have this savor, piquancy. We can and must help shape.

Footprints in the Windsm # 840

When we meet another, truly meet, we change the all there is. It is not in little ways but in big ways, for we open the possibility of other meeting and other change and on.

Meeting—conversation—is how we evolve the world. It may not be the direction we want, but it always works. It always makes the change. It goes where it goes and comes out where it comes out, without our control, but with our part used and made effective.

Wake up call

It’s 40—50—60 years:
This is your wake up call
Do you know where your heart and mind are?

When I write “G*d is…”

When I write “G*d is…”
I mean “Is G*d?”
I mean “This is what I saw today”
I mean to point through myself

Community Disorganizing is profound

Community Disorganizing is more profound than its humor: raises the question whether organization is as empty as all goals, impossible to humanity, for something ever comes after: chaos. Community Disorganizing names healthy living: to take hands on what comes and mold creatively, lovingly, as good as we can. Take hands on what comes to shape what comes next.

Our dog
Our horse
Wait upon our glance
To play with us, to play with us
And so our Friend
The one who stands in front of us
& The one who moves, transparently

Its possessor makes possessed
Yet when rehearsed sets free
Its holder & a whole community
The story told & told again
Sparks our hope, sets us to working

Learning to meet others

Good & Evil
Chaos & Order
Do & Be
Struggle or dance or…
One spins into the
Other spins into the first

Are we getting anywhere?

We are learning how to meet others. When we meet, then we do, we create, something new is given space to open, to flower. Surprise is possible. Between is where. Between is how. Between is be and do.

Surprise is possible.

Meaning and for-all-timeness

Meaning is not a finished noun to be polished and held up to the light to discern its for-all-timeness. Nor is it a verb simply in motion by itself. It is more but not solely adjective, touching and being touched, creating and being created, singing and being sung into beingness in motion, touching….

Footprints in the Windsm # 838

Meeting takes you me between. I must bring me. It seems to me this is a problem many people share with me: fear of bringing me, and lack of experience and imagination in doing so.

That’s why we want to have speakers and experts and authors: to seed our imagination. Little do we know that the person beside us could do that wonder for us.
