We’ve lost touch with what we mean by
Kingdom of G*d.
It is the kin-dom of with all and
our kin-dom with G*d.
It is justice-ing, inviting, welcoming, embracing.
So we are all working toward
the Kin-dom of G*d:
where the world G*d so loves is
the world we love, too.
Where the ones G*d would rescue
we too would rescue.
Where the ones G*d would visit, encourage, bind up, inspire, we
too visit, encourage, bind up, and inspire.

The curse of the alphabet is not so much that it forces us to use our right hands, but that it concentrates our attention on what is inside us and abstract, taking us away from what is outside: others and a world to love. Our task now is to rejoin these two birth twins in the service of living.

Religion! What a blasphemous word! If to you God exists, then confining your God to a mere category of your life is ludicrous. And if to you God does not exist then your religion is false and others’ too: yours a sham, theirs idolatry. Banish the word religion and call it what it is: falsity, wast of time, truth, life.

It is not our task to become perfect. This appropriates to us godhead. Our task is to use our imperfections in the service of something better. Imperfection puts the ever into better ever better.

Goals deceive us, making us think we can arrive. They whisper, Don’t ask what comes after.

The word intercourse for me brings images, among other things, of co-inherence (being part of each other, glued inside each other, inseparable), and co-flow (flowing back and forth with each other–all the billions of us!).

Conversation changes things because attended talk is different from unattended talk.

How do we ever grasp creation?
It is too much for me!

The many and the One,
the variety of all,
the ongoingness of it,
the consciousness–the knowing withness–of it,
somehow we are knowing with G-d and G-d with us,
–this is all interwoven with G-d,
not just shot through with G-d,
but somehow inextricably intertwined,
dare we think, of one being, of one essence,
just a child in some other way than begetting.
Nothing is foreign,
all is part,
the knowing and unknowing,
the love and the hate,
the caring and the violence,
the angels and the fallen angels,
the light and the dark:
all one,
ultimately inseparable perhaps.
Creation is beyond all our dichotomies and divisions,
a circle larger, farther, father, parent.

Doesn’t she have a way with words!

For a number of weeks I have been telling myself I need to speak like I write. I am often tongue-tied when it comes time to speak my heart, so I need to remember what it feels llike to write the things I write here (usually in the mornings), and move back into that feeling. When I have done so, I have felt most often at home.

So Filiz, thank you for reminding me to let my soul speak through my heart. From half a world away, your words come straight to my soul.
