Don’t report only ideas with which you agree. The other and contrary may open a valuable path.

Do not write to only get ideas across or recorded: slow; express elegantly; sound the never before fathomed; find us a way to steep.

I’m only one of the breathing organisms on this spinning top, and even then one of the fewer with intelligence. All the same, mine is an essential bit of spin, so I intend to throw in of my substance.

Every conversation can teach us about conversation, if we let it in—or we enter.

If/Since the surround brings forth the lady bug

One conversation fades others early arose, bringing

Our task is not only to build relationships, but also to break them open: some do not serve us, or do not serve us well. Break and regrow. Recall that dying is part of living continuing to live.

I am feeling peace after having written today’s insights. Strange. Overall: it does not matter. I am doing, we are doing, what we are doing, and it comes and goes, and that is OK.

Questions close our frames a little less than answers. We have frames through which we view our worlds. Invitations open these frames more than questions. Stories are invitations to open paths outside the frames; conversations too are invitations, perhaps to sometimes morph or even break the frames. Can we take in that these opposing persons are necessary to us, and we to them, necessary to each one’s very existence? This is logic, reason, and more: this is reality. Simply: we cannot push without someone to push against. What opens you and me more, more?

Architecture is a conversation between and among land and cityscape and persons and imagination and budget and bah humbug.

All who love conversing need, positively need, those who despise conversing, the many more who avoid conversing, and the vast number of those who don’t care: so we can have this working to do, so we can understand what we do.

The condition of living is that it be lived as a game in which the song has only a slight edge over the sob, and each needs the other or there is no playing. Living is conversing, conversing playing.
