My father, the zucchini

A report says there is a new option when you die: you can be converted to compost to spread on your children’s gardens. So this is my father the zucchini, my mother the tomato, my brother who always seemed to be in the dark, the mushroom!

What matters is the touching

This dream overnight: Numbers floating on a transparent clear spreadsheet.

How am I to understand this? I can be clear and transparent in conversing with others. A level deeper: Numbers rest on something less easy to pin down, they float and come in and out of focus, in and out of relevance and importance. What matters is the touching. What matters is the touching.
