These seem to happen:

Some things seem to happen as we age: mellowing, far-sight, wider interests, freedom, reflection, spirituality. The question is, how might we make these serve the generations?

Not any old kid

You’re thinking like you’re just any old kid. But you’re not. You’re you. You will develop as you develop, and you have some choice in the matter. Someone gets Alzheimer’s: probably not you. Someone’s health falls apart: need not be you. Someone does something of profound value for the world: might be you.

Serve larger

So yes, opening and deepening is central. Why would someone want to get there? To serve. So our eye is on something larger than ourselves: the generations; the planet; life; Spirit.

Spirit as concrete as financial

Spiritual destinations can be described as concretely as say financial goals. It is a question of what one wants, what one accepts as valid and valuable and worthy. I choose Spirit. I have been afraid of saying this to people. I have long admitted it to myself. Now to express.

Opening is to Spirit

So this idea of opening and deepening as the destination seems central. Is it? Conversation is central to me, bedrock, the field. Opening is to conversation, is to love, meeting, gathering, which is Spirit. Opening and deepening are terms for Spirit and Let it be. So this is the destination. Communion, poking holes.

Get to our destination every

We get to our destination every meeting/gathering. Because our destination is opening and deepening.
