Be not yourself
Be not whom you are. Be true to the flow around and through you. You are not. Flow is all.

Dying is a time to come close to one another, to round out our togethering. We cannot know what that will mean till we get there, and yet we do. We can practice this part of our dying this day by seeing one another, saying the moment’s truths, arguing well, holding hands.
Please pass it on.

Just be real. Perfection? Does not exist. Complete: broken and missing parts. These make you whole. These make us whole. Just be real.

We are in a bubble called the universe. Might there be other bubbles? Does our breathing expand the bubble? After all, a conversation between bubbles expands them both.

People are so goal-oriented, and these are such surface things. Do you really want most in life to lose 15 pounds, gain 15 million Dollars? Are these not stand-ins, intermediate steps to something more important?
:- Doug.
Goals are about winning and losing, impermanent points of departure, always departure. One does not win or lose at life, one lives. Notice goals focus us on ourselves, they circle us ever smaller, while life reaches out graciously, copiously.

:- Doug.
Many people around the world are working as we are, for the grandchildren. Some are making the same discoveries we are. We may never meet and are yet open to meeting. We know. We have this faith.
:- Doug.
Every grandchild, every viewpoint of every grandchild, is inherently and integrally important.
:- Doug.
We cannot change the world of the grandchildren, still, we can to the change contribute.
:- Doug.
The word sin has the effect of piling on guilt. Jesus’s task was remove the guilt. But the priestly changed his word debts to sins, and continues to pile on to this age. Your debts are forgiven. Go freely.

Grands can start re-scoring our games. Rate the beauty of the arc of the pass. Praise the extension of the player in that catch. How well did this player help other players perform to their best—whichever team they are on? How did this person improve? Point up the beauty and grace of execution. Currently the Olympics demonstrate scoring technical and artistic elements. Subtle nuances evoke deeper humanity. In this way grands can help the grandchildren become ever more aware.
