Most alive
I feel most alive exploring new spiritual pathways.
:- Doug.

We begin as two cells—egg and sperm—and consciousness expands to our brand new toes and stomach and heart. Then one day we discover ourselves reversing course. Consciousness shrinks as legs and organs slow. Our spirits come back to the few cells still working—in our heads? Somehow we then grow larger than ever we were.

One thing life asks of us is belonging—to get out there and engage others and the larger.

Let’s not get stuck in anthropomorphizing—that might get in the way of attending a fuller belonging.

Conversation not the important

The human numinous coeur is available, can be touched. It may be hidden, and on purpose: still, it is common among us. Not everyone is your hearer. For those who are, this is the easy way. We bypass points of argument. We head straight for what we have in common: love of family, releasing our aliveness; our humanity.

Basing our whole belief system on raising someone from the dead, or making wine out of water, is a bit flimsy. What if the magic is explained? Does that end our whole understanding of our lives? However, giving up one’s life for others is a profound thing, a human thing, and it is worthy of our attention, of changing our life direction. Worthy of being called God. Magic is something for free, this is costly. Which is more worthy?
