The profundity here is the idea that democracy, equality, ordinariness is the main thing: we are here, I am here, to find the extant connections of souls, to converse. The big thing, the cosmic, is the conversation, the flow.

It seems to me the holy is larger than we can imagine, and other than we can imagine. That’s what we mean by holy.

Life can never be understood as a property of an individual, for individuals stand in the flow of life. Each only has intensity as the flow increases—and that from the contrasts among them, highs and lows on a weather map and the wind howling from one to another. Highs and lows are not life but the potentials for it, the seeds, the pregnant conditions.

Let us stop and examine the spirit which this thing flows within.
