Things feel in place today
Things feel in place today, the world is a good place.
:- Doug.
Perhaps my antipathy toward goal-setting runs deeper. Goal-setting is ego-driven, seeing all others as Its. It avoids profound in-taking, soul, and hearing.

The gaps in our speech—even aphasias—can be invitations to come rest in silence…. What if precisely then we stopped to listen? Both of us? There is a rhythm to weather, the low pressure drawing wind out of the high pressure, the lightning and the sun alternating. Our words, our hearing, too. Come enter the world whole.

Plot, story, tension
Compassion, vulnerability, hate
Opening, celebrating, conflict
Greening opens
Unexpected expected

Materialism is dead-making. Why else would we condition compassion for the foreigner in our midst on something like a line in the sand or an uttered set of words? Why else condition compassion for our elders on budget concerns?

The all but seen
Subtle is the world
Of persons
A rainbow missed
Until we glance and stop

Thinking through
—through one another
—through the gaps among us
—through the aggregate of us
Speaking our holy
through
the all
of us
:- Doug.
Woundedness, vulnerability, sharing our weaknesses: let us explore. There is a power here. There is a courage that is more difficult than simply facing fear. There is a farther courage in showing our weakness, our wounds. Action in the face of fear is surpassed by standing forth in our humanity.
