Trade expands us

Commerce and converse share the notion that trade expands us and our world—our friends, our lives. Commerce deals in good and services; converse is itself a good—and a service—seeing both in their larger meaning of we open ourselves.

Actually converse is not a trade in ideas but in quanta of thinking, quanta of persons. It carries us from T1 to T5 and perhaps beyond. Some would say it trades in consciousness.

Open Space is an invitation to commerce…in persons, in the whole.

always something different to see

Movement in images?
Not merely captured movement
There is always something different to see
From artist to me
From life to me
And back
In waiting
Intent of the depicted
The image comes at me
Works upon me
I upon it upon me

For me to be present
Just now
To larger
To particular

Conscription of our elders

Where in our culture is the person who speaks out about the ethics of the organization? Who speaks to corporate actions, say greed and bribery, to governmental decisions, say war and conscription of our elders into homes of endless hours of suffering?
