More than security we want…

More than security we want certainty. When we are feeling insecure, we want to make sure that our next step is on some certainty. Security is only an interim position: if we cannot have this certainty, then at least we can be secure: we can curl up into a fetal position and not go outside. So we need to experience certainty to be able to step into the world and the present.

Today, people are wringing their hands that their investments lost 12 ¼% of their value. What if your poetry lost 12 ¼% of its value? Or your time given to a specific homeless person? Or your love?
