We have many throw-away people

We have many throw-away people in our day: most anybody who is not a leader: for we ignore these people and try to manipulate them to do our bidding. And we the people allow them to do this to us.

What vision did Jesus see?

What vision did Jesus see? He saw temptation in the form of bread and kingdoms and selfishness. He saw jumping off the pinnacle of the temple as a statement of the wrong kind of faith or trust that trusts in our own doctrine more than in a real world which has been turned over to humans to form and make work within certain “laws of nature.” This in fact is the temptation that so many today fall prey to: if you pray hard enough, if you squeeze your eyes tight enough, you will become rich, famous, with nary a care.

Salvation enslaves

Salvation is a word used to enslave people, for the emphasis is on the thing to be avoided, not on the thing to be done, on the devil and not the divinity.

Vision or salvation?

Is Jesus about vision rather than salvation? Or salvation through vision? Words are not the vision: weak vessels to carry, often breaking. Recover the vision, recover what the man lived for. What was the vision? What did Jesus see?
