Take your tree with you
Your center of gravity
Limbs, limbs a-reaching

Softly, softly face the world
See the balloon soften as it lands
To the contours of this hill conforming

I am stupid, I am wise
I am evil, I am good
I am hateful, I am lovable
If I cannot say all this
See all this
I have a ways to go to
Whole, full, complete, rounded

In a universe of quantum leaps, there need be no distance between any of us.
:- Doug.
Of quantum leaps, of God, of conversing: G and conversation leap to us across quantum spaces–which are not there! There are no separations through which we must pass.
:- Doug.
If fierce conversation takes place in
the betweens
& when we make quantum leaps
the betweens
may not be there at all
then perhaps we
are the person
with whom we are conversing
:- Doug.
G is in each person & creature
& emanates from each
—how can we miss the flow?
or the betweens that, like in
quantum leaps, are not there at all?—
:- Doug.
Some days above the changing skies
Some days solid beneath my feet
Some days in wind about me swirling
Some days, most days, without an image
Some days my God is a some days God

What kind of society do we want for our grand children, for ourselves? Let us invite each other—child, parent, life partner, neighbor, politician—to work for that society.

How do we wish to be cared for as we live with a chronic disease—or several—that few are equipped to deal with?
:- Doug.
True leaders are good, too. It is the job of each of us to grow the just society envisioned by our founders, the beloved community of our leaders of spirit. True leaders have this mind and heart, too. If they do not, we need to lead away from them to the good.

Think good news stories would not draw, have to be sappy? Ever watch a TED talk?

We are both left brain and right, a body and a mind, and stand in need of food and shelter and transportation but also in need of connecting and loving and touching infinite mystery. We have both good and evil in us, grappling with one another. Yet we want for good to prevail. We have and are all of these. To select just one is to lop off a big section of the sphere. Then where will we go? We will be stuck at the missing part.

Mind over body:
generosity, self-discipline, loving-kindness
in these ways & others like
humans choose to climb above
violence and filling-the-belly

Feeding, the bird chirps, and you and I are part of this one turning.
