Why do you, tree, stand upright?

Next to post to Web Why do you, tree, stand upright?
Your branches reach out in all directions
Thick green coat all year
For all that you ought to be round!
Even so, you point to sun and stars!

What might be there behind

Let us perceive with our imagination what all is there and might be there behind what we think we see, what we have habitually trained ourselves to see and hear. These hold us in chains. We could be larger if we saw what was really there, saw with our imaginations!

Smash the received labels

See with imagination
Smash the received labels
They make us less

To see the real ingrained in our daily round:

To see the real ingrained in our daily round:
Hold infinity, eternity, heaven and world
In the eyes of your imagination

A poet like Lewis Carroll

As a poet I must be as a Lewis Carroll—making words dance to my music, not looking for old tunes to express my new meaning. I can—ought—inject new meaning into the word “Love.” Every person a maker.

How might we see with our imagination?

How might we see what is
Really
In front of us with our
Imagination?

Don’t you wish you could?

Don’t you wish you could
Imagine you world in more
Vivid colors…than you do?

Not just a bigger Daddy

God is not just a bigger other than you, not just a bigger Daddy. There is more in I AM. The former are idols: mistaking the image for the more real.

creation and denouement

If you believe there was a creation, and there will be a denouement, then you have a doctrine of evolution. The difference between yours and science’s is then only one of kind or maybe only degree.

Goals are dangerous things

Goals are dangerous things
They can covertly deter you
From your purpose
Falsely make you think
You are doing something important

Wherever we look, whatever we see

Wherever we look, whatever we see
The beauty we see in trees, flowers, gardens, woods, farms
Are reflections of the minds of the women and men who planted them
The beauty we see in nature about us, birds, bumblebees, butterflies, rainbows
Are reflections of our own minds as much as what’s there,
We choose what we see knowingly or otherwise, and miss what others in other cultures or times might see
The beauty—or ugliness—I see in her or him or Hitler or Saddam, or you
Is as much in my thinking as it is there
Whatever meaning, wherever we look, whatever we see

Were Bohm and Barfield doing the same thing?

Was Bohm doing with thinking what Barfield did with participation? Certainly each worked to make the process conscious. I work to make conversation conscious, purposeful.

Reaching out in scarier ways

I want to reach out in larger, scarier ways because this is my work and I need to push to expand conversation, even if I want to take an easier way out.
