We are the words
seeking expression
out into this our world
When we gather
we form poetry
we rhyme, we clash,
we syncopate and fly
still, now, the words
flow through us
from outside us to outside us
the poetry swirls around
makes us letters, words,
some whole poems
all whole poems

Thinking out loud
Makes poetry
Brings us closer

The poetry of you
each of you
—words & phrases
melodies & rhythms—
between, together, among you,
a poem arises
signifying
When you & she & he & I,
these words & rhythms,
melodies & phrases come together,
emerges the song we need,
& we emerge from the song,
& work draws us—
we become the poem

Handling a loved one’s estate is an adventure: in doing what they wanted; in finding ways to conserve one’s energy; in finding ways to do good for others. A client is handling her father’s estate, caring for an ill aunt, and getting on with her own grieving and husband and children. She takes a few steps, then calls me for guidance, then takes a few more. No longer do I see myself running the show (if I ever did), but being almost avuncular, more a mentor.

A flattened bag
All the air removed,
Is hope without anguish

Discontinuity is possible. Despair need not be for ever.

Endlessly assimilate
Endlessly express
Person is, too

Business people sometimes
As children caring for aging parents
Act as if the song
Did not need an ending

The breath as the dance
More than flow
A place to wait
Between the in and out
Amidst the turns
Without pauses
No music

Incomplete: completing
Humanity
Divinity
The dance!
The dance is the thing!
