The respirational process
The respirational process
—moving from large to small groups to individuals and back—
Allows for, builds in, necessary reflection (T2, T4)

Ask, How is this affecting Mom?
Then, How is this affecting you?
:- Doug.
A web of connections we say
Maybe we mean
A web of which we become conscious
And yet we do
Affect, direct, invite it to morph
:- Doug.
There are many fields
(The way to see them
Is to look)
Passing through each other
Unfolding each other
With and without touching
Many we keep hidden
Because we love them so much
We fear them
—They might change us
For ever
:- Doug.
A field already exists
Our eyes hide it from us
We are part of it
Stirred by it
Stirrers of it
Are you still unconscious
Of this?
:- Doug.
In life there are no goals
Life goes on
For life no goals no ends
:- Doug.
Shy is the sacred
Will not knock on our door
Nor approach without invitation
Ours it is to make space
Glance, then avert our eyes
:- Doug.
Unearth shared commitments, ideals, the developing field among us. See beyond the grey cloth, engage the world beyond the grey cloth.
:- Doug.
Unearthing shared perceptions might be a key. Leading toward wider perceptions of the world in which they find themselves. Look at the grey cloth, examine it, then look through it, eventually poke holes.
:- Doug.
The thrust/intention needs to be to find the commonalities among this family, and where they think they need to get, given that there are no 200 year old people out there.

These inquiries with clients do need to be on-going and in-built. What matters to you now? What matters to your other family members? Tell me about a time when you acted together well. What could make this long-term care challenge a good time for you and your family?
How do you grow? How can your family possibly grow through this? What would be some ways you could come together?
:- Doug.
Inexorably reality unfolds
We can participate in the natural flow of healing
Reality wants to change
What needs doing will unfold
Each can rediscover original integrity
My inquiry and your inquiry are interwoven
Truth can be heard when invited, supported, not when confronted
Inquiry needs to be ongoing and in-built
Inquiry and deep reflection are normal to all life—crisis, family, business, and personal
:- Doug.
Change is so slow
Long it is before old generations die out
Longer still our habits
Play with us
Laughter is a sweet way to die
:- Doug.
