Woundedness, vulnerability, sharing our weaknesses: let us explore. There is a power here. There is a courage that is more difficult than simply facing fear. There is a farther courage in showing our weakness, our wounds. Action in the face of fear is surpassed by standing forth in our humanity.

9-12 taught us there is something in woundedness. There is gathering. There is opening to one another. There is acting out of caring. There is slowing. There is attending. This something is of our highest. This something, shared, releases our power.

We’re not put here to solve one another’s problems—we’re to be with one another.

What we know to answer is small compared to what we must guess.

In Open Space we are not so much experts who fix a situation as shamans—wounded people daring to walk beside wounded people—looking only to heal one another. Ultimately, we are people who do not know but are here.

Our task is to Meet and Meet again. To be one in our diversity, e pluribus unum. Also to be diverse in our unity, e enum pluribus.

Honor the time of dying. Recoil not. Perhaps there is learning, even beauty here. Honor the time of dying.

Your God is too small for the really real. A greybeard on a big chair is a pipe dream we have told ourselves. Loving and creating flow together outward. Look here. I have not allowed myself the freedom I have. More tomorrow.
