This concept of mutual causality is hard to understand, until you look around. We are forever throwing up our hands because, for instance, the opioid crisis is fueled by so many things: pain, the medical non system, drug companies, crime, ennui, malaise, boredom, addiction, religion, sin, philosophy, politics, and on. Is this not the description of relational process?

Elders are constantly getting new inputs, so they are only complexifying.

Because life is an open system, opioids and cyborgs, hate and wars will not be the end of humanity: something is always coming in and going out: nature abides no walls.

Homeostatic self-organization is the process of life, including elders.
