Mutual endeavor
For the grandchildren is a mutual endeavor.

Conversation might be our wormhole to the elders 300 years ahead. It is in spirit that we touch the generations.

We are able to make the time to invent new channels through which to communicate with the generations.

I don’t know where this is headed and I don’t want to know. If I knew, I might try to go there—and miss somewhere else. Or I might mistake where we go for there.

We suppose generativity flows downhill, but for some it flows little at all, and for other it flows copiously both directions.

How have you been generative, and how do you hope to be yet? What have you been through?

Maybe your life doesn’t flash before your eyes, but floats on inner tubes on a stream.

It does not matter whether this is statistically true. It matters if it is true for you, true for us. Eldering for the grandchildren is a distinctly minority activity. Just by the most important minority—those eldering for the grandchildren.

We have been concentrating on the chaos about us—political and societal. It may be a phase, there may be a more subtle order, there may be a side beyond.

We have become subtle, finely woven, ethereal, rarefied, elusive, intangible, ethereal, delicate, gossamer, finespun.

Let us propose—
Movement does not require time
Rather time requires movement
It’s not turtles all the way down
It’s all the way down
Enfolding all
Unfolding from all, music
