Being had by thoughts
We can think, or we can be had by thoughts.

Might we merge our spirit or consciousness with the 300 year grandchild elders?

Converse is reciprocal, mutually beneficial, interdependent; it flows all directions out.

Wisdom may not reside in us but among us—we find it waiting for us—to converse.

What is this new meaning of elders? Forget wisdom. It is growing beyond ourselves, beyond our groups. To see that what most delights us is our highest and best, and given freedom, that is the direction in which we will grow. Ask the grandchildren. To unfold meaning. Deeper questions. Participate with the grandchildren; be part of their best.

At this moment the task is changing the meaning of elders, and this can be done in many a conversation.

We don’t finish our dreams because that is the point. We are in the eternal middle. Perhaps in life, too.

There is “economic human” and there is above that “grandparent human” or more accurately “human human.”

Grandma knows you
wants what’s good for you
cookies too
has larger experiences
ask her help

I awake naturally: without alarums. I am replenished; a different person from the one who fell into bed used up. Ready to stretch.

These people are not merely older, they’re different. They have progressed. They live a larger world.

We have a felt need to self actualize. We have a felt need to be part of a knit group. We have a felt need to transcend our group. This spiral is a package of contraries which allows us to live and grow. So our work For the Grandchildren is in main part to nurture this growth to be our full selves, to exceed that and to be our societal best society, and to exceed that. We are growing new minds.
