their wings leaving traces
traces in the air

Every time we say we are all one it stretches our vision. We see others. It also narrows our vision. We miss seeing the particular, the peculiar, the real.

Somehow there is income on the in breath. Oxygen? Somehow there is expenditure on the out breath. CO2? It all balances somehow. And yet we get what we need to continue. We exchange with the plants and one another. We grow. We go on. All of us. Somehow. Respiration. Life. Even ancestors endure. And dying. One big conversation. Some ways.

What is really important for you to do right now? What is really important for you to do in 300 years? What is really important for you to let go now? In 300 years?

The elder sees
Who the grandchild is
They meet

Here’s the fact: we are falling apart, we are evaporating. How do we use this fact to teach? Not to teach, to lead? Not to lead, to inspire? Not to inspire, to befriend? Not to befriend, to walk alongside? Not to walk alongside, to be silent together in the face of mystery?

The issue is, how can we to benefit humanicity make use of the fact we are disintegrating?

This push for goals
pushes us to short sight

:- Doug.

Leaven in the dough
works by releasing gas
of these microscopic beings
the bread to nourish our hearts
is in part the product of farts

Cannot know the path
only this end
of the trajectory

If you are to be of value to the grandchildren, what will you pay? Value and pay live on the same scale. Will you pay an hour, a story?

Becoming politically correct is not about correctness, nor about politics. It is about being open, being compassionate to others, whoever they are. No exceptions.

Move past hope to tender.

If you are to do and be for the grandchildren, you must pay the price: all of you.

Don’t be willing to risk everything: pay everything.

I have been unwilling to pay a price. Until now.

What are you willing to do so your 11th generation grandchild can have the kind of dying that learned from yours?

Have been wrestling the notion that taking a step after the idea is whole is a path to a new part of the forest. Is it complete? That is your clue to go further.

Does a simple statement express everything? Can the images of a story stay behind to work, wind and water on rock?

In exploring messages it might be most unearthing to ask What don’t we know?

A change should not turn primarily on what we can afford. Do what is needed in spite of the costs. Scary. There will be costs.
