This is why I need other people

This is why I need other people. A small metaphor of G*d living inside my head is not enough (a reason is that our thoughts eddy in their accustomed pools, do not allow us out); G*d truly meets us in intercourse with other people, and not just through them. We are that of G*d. Our meeting is that of G*d. We are living in Heaven. We have all challenges-opportunities-demonics-divinity. It is our task to make all work together for good, and it is this that is of G*d.

we have so narrowed the words

Martin Buber suggests that relation has these things: mutual confirmation; cooperation; genuine dialogue. These help me understand what I am working on: mutual confirmation of which hearing is key; working together; genuine dialogue—which suggests to me that we have so narrowed the words conversation, intercourse, and relation, that we miss the larger world that is possible.

to put a human face upon the world

Seek to see others not as other but as others, to put a human face on the world, the masses, our challenge-opportunities. We are the ones we seek, not the problems. This perhaps (!) is Heaven. We are to seek each other out, not wall ourselves away from each other. We are real; our mind-made clutchings are crazy-making.

Seek no objects

In guardianships
In immigration
In what we assume is
Doing good
Or fighting evil
In life entire
Seek out
Others rather than other
Seek no objects to act upon—
More humanly—
Make relation know persons—

The intention of the

G*d is the intention of the universe. Intention always moves toward pattern & pattern is always in relation to, that is, toward the rest. Pattern is the definition of love.

To free the expanse of the voiceless

To free the Expanse of the voiceless—there is something that we need to hear to make the world whole—all that it can be. We are inserted into a growing world, not a fixed one. Fixed is dying. Live is growing.

Why is it urgent? Simply because people are dying and suffering and we can with an ear—a word heard—make it wholer. Simply because we are missing opportunities to make the present and the future fuller for us all.

Too large for grave

You can be too large
For the grave to hold
How far is your Expanse?
Do you touch the World
The Voiceless do you hear?

More than creator

G*d is more than creator: this is an incomplete metaphor, for G*d more birthed the universe than worked at drawing board and iron forge. How do you love a world you have merely created? But a life you birthed….

To get us to think

To get us to think: In my mind the one holdout juror in “Twelve Angry Men” says, I just want us to examine the evidence. I am not trying to persuade.

Yes, my work is being done when people start thinking together.

And still…I want to see this activity spread wider than just a few juicy conversations among my friends. I want people to be conscious about what they are doing: I want people to be conscious of thinking together.

What if thinking together were how we evolve next?

Consider how little your challenge

Consider how little your challenge in reading
If you’re not needing a dictionary
Sure challenge there is without words unusual
But if you don’t ask what it is you are reading
Then you do not see—or do—all calling you

Let us speak to one another of

Let us speak to one another of what is in our hearts—People will no longer have to tell each other Remember the Lord—God will be in their hearts and known by them. And we have forgotten that in favor of the encrusted religions of today!

We have to be happy, we have to do what is our real nature—which is love and giving and creating. If we suppress people, tell them how bad they are, demand of them groveling submission, then we are killing G*d and that of G-d in the world.
