Why do writers stay a spell at writers colonies?

I am a poet making a work called The Last Hot Chocolate, and another, The Book of Sarah. They might look like prose poems but that’s just to trick me.

Try something
Act someone else’s age

:- Doug.

It does not “spin”
So “fast”
This thing called “Time”
Rather at this age we are
The sun
Watching amused
As the planets turn about us

Complicate the conversation. You might bring in random juxtaposition and dance with it.

What is the relation between boundaries and bonds? Having more odd people close to you, expands your boundary edges. The wider your frontiers, the more bonds possible for you.

:- Doug.

What variety of people have you encountered in your life so far? Who is your cast of characters today? How is your cast different from five years ago?

:- Doug.

It is said playwright Sam Shepard was willing to fail interestingly. I think it would be more fun, more conversational, to fail interestedly.

Maybe I am not supposed to stare as a writer, but it is necessary.

Just get into that world!

Artfully ought to include heart-fully, yes? Or we’re not human.

We ought spread the contagion—of persons.

Conversation, ritual, meeting, and maybe flow are each the intersection of two lives. No more may be said. These are necessary for humanity to advance beyond survival.

Underneath your persona—where you are maskless—is your Indra’s Net. Reflected there is your mother holding your real face in her two hands. Reflected there is your mate. Reflected there are the many persons and people, great and unnoticed, who figure in your life, including the person with whom you last conversed. Reflected there are a hundred, hundred voices. Own your net of lucid gemstones. When you meet a new person you lightly touch a smooth or sharp or jagged facet of yourself—whom you can be, whom you are, whom you can grow into, at any number of life moments remaining, whom you can aid.
