What’s going on in our country and world? The demonstrations from the murder of George Floyd keep growing, and people all over are reacting to it. Businesses. Establishment people. More white folks this time. Maybe more people have more time to pay attention. Then again, the police response (which seems to come from leaders who may no longer deserve that title) has been violent out of proportion. And anti democratic, even unlawful. The pandemic grinds on, and people are “getting back” to something new. People are ready to get outside, some of us have time to join the demonstrations, and for some of us the boiling point has been reached and rage is a response. And looting. And for some, conversation is the response. Of love. Choose. We are called to choose.

Sometimes I think it best to live the better questions as a way to the pregnant life. My Website asks, “What is the most loving way to practice Elder Caring Law?” That’s a big question, a good ‘un. Here’s another: How can one unchanging set of documents fit all clients? How can one fee match the work each client needs and wants?
The problem as I see it now after reading those last questions is that lawyers are not selling products, not selling commodities, but services specific to the person. So fee needs to fit client.
