The pond is glassy and lightly shimmering. Calls to me: Hello, friend. Fresh leaves on the maple are waving greetings. Sunlight is smiling.

Some notes are a steeping bowl: we never use this liquid, yet it flavors what goes through our mouths.

We stand up to bullies now to give a chance to the generations of elders coming.

It is less speaking with an elder 300 years from now and more speaking with our community.
