Friend, into your stillness, your holy other other other pulling pulling pulling us to better.

The still point: something that does not exist, but yet exists. That is the madness of this term. It exists, we feel it has to exist, but it is not a thing to which we can point. It is possible for the turning planet to have in matter no still point. The turning wheel has no still point—every piece of it moves if any of it moves: only the axle does not turn, but even it might not be still, experiencing tugs. A turning star system or galaxy might have a still point, but how would we know? Except that in imagination we can picture such a being, and it draws us inexorably. In this black hole are many meanings.

Look on this in many lights: early dawning; afternoon shade; dusk; starry night; storming.

:- Doug.
What would people do if forced to live in a suddenly more complex world? Especially if they sensed others depended on them? How would they rise to the challenge? This is the challenge of the age of the elder.

every meeting different
do you see every elder?
:- Doug.
Their world grows smaller
eyesight fades hearing too
confidants die away
earning power steady gate gone
all this befalls those aging
yes that’s one way to see life two
dimensionally in the face of at least three
