Footprints in the Windsm # 1819–More than telling stories

Footprints in the Windsm # 1819

Storytelling is more than telling stories. It is your why that matters. If you are doing it for your own reminiscing, if you are doing it out of love for your hearers, whatever reason is yours, your hearers will know. They will be bored in one instance, love you back in another. Get your why on straight and you will make a difference for someone.

Somes of eldering

The somes of elders:
Some hug the grandchildren
Many hear them out
Some are activists
Writers poets playmates
Some unable to walk talk think
show us how to receive love
Or in their tiny rooms
care for the cosmos
provide the still point for focus
Untroubled ascend the heights ahead of us

Plumbing is our word

Less being and more about meaning making and finding—in a life examined and examined again, a society, a species too—examined for what is to be savored, what possibilities might be explored. Plumbing is our word, plumbing depths, sounding ever deeper, asking Why, and yet again Why not?
