What does our community need?

:- Doug.

Point people to the larger—their personal need to help another human, to help the species survive, thrive, create. We need to be generative.

We are the love of God.

:- Doug.

I fight the establishment in part because when I first met it I had not the skills to persuade it. Or even get it to hear me—which is reason enough for the heat.

:- Doug.

Why do people want to learn? In part so they can let out their true selves and true abilities. Let’s work there, not on the tool: the learning.

To matter is to meet.

:- Doug.

Less smart, more met.

:- Doug.

Make every encounter matter.

:- Doug.

Meditation/Contemplation seems to flow easily for me when I am in a state tired enough or refreshed enough that my mind just sits, too tired or too sated to jump from place to place. I can even find this comfortable old slipper place at other times.

The book I am reading seems more psychological than spiritual. Next door to heaven, with a solid fence between.

It is a pleasant day. Keep to that way.

Always busy the skies
Clouded now blue
Unmoved ever new
Thundering now pouring
Seldom calling attention
Moving ever moving
Their ways silent silent

I befriend people, people with a spouse or parent in need.

The work is not done
Till we make it fun

Learning and hierarchy are two different things. So are doing and hierarchy. They do not have to be welded together. They might be more effective on their own.

A very light nearly
imperceptible shimmering
of the pond’s surface:
a breath moves it
silences me

I resist fun for the sake of fun, yet see its value in spirit. It is less necessary that I understand or assimilate than that I step out in fun and trust. The body has its own knowing, its own courage. Step!

Play, perhaps Bernie DeKoven’s DeepFun.com, seems to be a good path. Choose one. All paths lead to spirit. Choose the one that facilitates best for today.
