I have decided to vote based on which candidate comes closer to working from love rather than fear. The real conundrum comes when all are working from fear.

:- Doug.

There was another political debate last night, and I could only take a few minutes of it at a time. They all sounded full of hate and war. These are an easy sell. Love is more difficult: bringing people together. Yet we won’t get there with debates: the very purpose of debates is to make the candidates as different from each other as possible, to drive them apart. And us in the bargain. What we need are people who want to come together. If we don’t hang together….

The purpose of debate and discussion is to separate people—far better to bring us together, yes?

There are two primary forces at work in this world—love and fear. The second fights the first, the first embraces the second. The first is stronger and louder, the first hugs the second.

I’ve been in this group several years now. If you’ll permit me, I’ll share what I have seen.

The more people gather
The more work available
The more skies to be seen

People who need the nursing home do not need to go to the poor house.

I counsel with people facing long-term care and end of life.

Would you be open to having your most favorite idea exploded?

It does not have to be perfect, it is a first draft. Everything is a first draft. Get it out there so it can be improved.

Listen to one person, you get one idea. Put two or three together and you create ideas in their midst. Simple math. You also create motion—the courage to try. And you get connecting and alliances across company boundaries and confirmation of what matters.

We could host people and curiosity so far beyond herding them from single voice to single voice. We can find their rich, diverse, profoundly creative natures.

What people are making of what they are hearing is significant too—more significant in fact than what they are hearing. Everybody does not hear the same.
