Footprints in the Windsm # 1567–Do we have a common future

Footprints in the Windsm # 1567

This morning I read about the White Tulip movement in Estonia: bringing people together who have come to distrust one another, by placing white tulips in public places as a show of respect, dignity and peace for one another. The writer said We may have had different histories but we have the same future.

And I wondered: Do we have a common future? That is the question given to us for this hour. If we decide No, what sadness! We move toward hate and insulation and shriveling. If we decide Yes, then all possibility opens!

The question is one asked of us in our country too: Do we have a shared future, or will we shatter? Will we turn our backs on one another, on whom we could have been?

Do we choose to have a common future?
