small, long, major and tunneled
Conversations: small, long, major and tunneled. No large events with thousands of people. A handful at a time.

Gently, openly take people and conversations deeper, to the tunnels. Everyday.

The tree! The tree!
Blown! Moving! Dancing!
This leaf fluttering, that
But can I see the tree
Whole?

Young ears cannot hear
Old ears catch subtle frequencies:
Dying, deepening, sacred

We can do the bigger thing. What do you want for our community? We can move in that direction. We. Can.

Are we doing all we can for our elders?
Do our eyes see all they can see?
:- Doug.
There is a sadness here when we fail to see we are all possible. We can improve how people are treated in later years; we can be world class right here in South Bend. When we dismiss this, or rush to move beyond our possibilities, people are hurt, not least of all ourselves. We can make this conference a difference-maker. We can do; we are possible.

Found myself having compassion for the people in our committee, and some sadness: we are in a place where we can make a difference for our community and for our members, but we cannot see that we have the power (or perhaps the time to use the power—which means the inclination to use the power) to change things, nor that our members do. Sad, because we are the only people we have. I want to keep this compassion going, show it.

Tagging, dismissing, killing
in a single word
it takes effort to open ourselves

Footprints in the Windsm # 1520
Why are poor people a threat to the wealthy? Why is it bad logic to have everybody share the wealth of the nations, company, community? How is ingenuity curtailed by sharing? Do not people create for the creating that is in them and must be expressed without reference to gold bullion rewards? Do you hug and smile only for cash? Does it have to be that either you or the other has ample or to spare?
