What is the spiritual habitat of humans?
Where can we be nurtured and natured?
Free to run & romp &
Be our most human?
Free from noise, pollution & dissonance?
Open & free to be love & whole
in our core?

The three themes of spirituality are Freedom, Homecoming, and Opening.

The relief of guilt is opening. To feel guilt is to feel restricted, closed off; to feel the guilt removed is to be opened, able to take in the wide world.

There is a fierceness that is full of peace. We know who we are and we are fierce about what we want for the world.

concentrate all you observe
so you can grasp after it all

Who told you so that you believe
there are only 4 seasons?
Maple syrup season, lilac
blooming season, goslings eating
everything season, dog days season,
bonfires in the woods season,
family gathering season, frosty
breath season, how many
can you find
if you look?
Who told you that you believe
there are only two kinds of people
or three times of day
or two politics
or that you must shut your eyes
or that dry controlled living is desirable?

Degree days
more than only water & food
garden vegetables need
time out in the sun’s
concentrated heat
we too can grow to be
flourishing, nourishing & sweet

The courage to love
Boots & tents & rain in the sky
Don’t try to figure this out
Stand inside this Move

No need to plant seeds
Water and say
“Bloom, bloom”

already present
planting no seeds
watering and saying

not soul-making
soul is already here
but calling to fly
whole-waking
soul-staking

We are engaged in a great & bitter civil war
in this year of the text message &
the prophets crying out at the immigrants
and those with whom their purse disagrees
a civil war testing whether
this rendition of humanity
can much longer survive

I rebel against planning
Why?
Although its properness allows
of no mussed hair
the real problem is it locks out
play
and all unpermitted thinking
it strangles the creator
just as cup touches lip
We can plan if
we include play
& side trip explorations

to the souls in front of us
a bit more range

To get right with G*d
Get right with all humans within touch
