released me!
All this locked up in me and you people released it and me!
:- Doug.

We cannot know ourselves till we know from where we come—the stars. We know not our neighbors till we see the star explosions from whence they came. Here we see the truth and where it leads.
:- Doug.
Cutting yourself off from another is cutting off the little toe of God.
:- Doug.
Hate grows from fear. Fear is overcome by love.

There is opening & closing

:- Doug.
It’s not about being able to grasp it all. Instead I need simply allow myself to be part. And allow all this to be. Allow and meet.
:- Doug.
I am in love with God. God is the God of the Bible of all this. Everything surrounding us and within us speaks of God, is the Word. The Word preceded the book, and is met. To love is to meet. It is our task our joy our destiny to love. All this.
:- Doug.
In our house we have several Bibles. Some of them are written.

When our resources are tottery and out of repair, this is precisely when we must make our mightiest efforts to make the world whole. It may be this is the only time we’ll ever get, & in any event this is the only time Now.
So, just when things are falling apart, people are screaming at one another, we are confused and don’t know the right direction—just now when we are under the most stress—this is when we must work on the world.
Please pass it on.

God is not unchanging. What is unchanging is that we have pretended our words about God can prevent God from changing. God responds. It is the nature of God.
:- Doug.
Love reaches out. Our history shows that: we went from grunts and touch in the caves to words to physical symbols (such as notches on a stick, coins and their precursors). Then we developed writing, and the Hebrews came into their own, writing books. Then the printing press, then radio, then Internet, then cell computers. Always widening the inclusion, always reaching out. This is love in action. This is love growing, expanding.
:- Doug.
A Will can be a way to touch other people and times, to communicate, and to fulfill our purpose.
:- Doug.
Seeing her & being seen
Hearing him & being heard
Touching hearts & being touched
Savoring being & being savored
Breathing in & breathing out
These the great & holy communion

What do I do because of my meditation? To what action does my contemplation lead me?

The book is not yet closed
Chapters there are awaiting writing
Sentences, words, letters, jots
As the story is read, repeated: meaning!
Unseen in the footfalls, heard in their rhythm
Unknown in early chapters, ever a new leaf!
We take this pen in all our hands and write:
But who is the author?
No magician but larger than we can guess!
The book is ever open
For new writers & writing, characters, adventures
Always a new leaf, never finis
The book is not yet closed
Nor will it ever be
The Author is Loving
The book is ever open
We are invited to write
Please pass it on.

The bullfrog shouts his story—and I whisper mine…if I work up the courage to say anything. I need to shout! I need to get my stuff out there! I need to say what I mean, to get to the depths of things.
:- Doug.
Layered depths
Within us universally
Only the whole holding the whole
In our expanding universe
Each speck is the center
The depths of the depths
All the way down
Of our life
The centers are others
All our layers enfolded
By others
Ever there is more to unfold
Much there is in us to meet
Which is enfolded in some other persons
Layers upon layers, depth upon depth:
Folding, unfolding
Unfolding folds other layers
For others to unfold
Wrinkles stand out from the smoothing,
Creating new
We are, we are enfolded unfolding
Meeting we meet ourselves
And find we were always larger and
Will be larger still
:- Doug.
The bullfrog tonight!
The crickets & critters in chorus
To the time of the lesser light!
All the animals tell their story
As loudly as they can—
Except humans!
:- Doug.
