The only way we ever get to perfection:

The only way we ever get to perfection is to come together, and that means converse. This perfection, this union with divinity, may not be ours to grasp but it is ours to refuse. If we take the path open to us we can yet heal the world, bring about the new Heaven and the new earth.

The two dominant meeting models today:

We have only two dominant models of meetings today: rally the troops; or inform the uninformed. More of the latter than the former. These get in the way of people who care working heart in heart. They get in the way of people making the world. The truth is, people who care will rally themselves. The truth is, we do not need to be informed so much as to be trusted. There is hubris in this idea that “if these people only knew what we knew, they would do what we want them to.”

So let us resolve to get out of the way of people who will carry our world forward. Let’s let them meet. Let’s give them opportunities for reflective juicy conversing. Sweet and piquant, salty and savory, colorful and jump up out of our seats conversing. I’m getting work done here conversing.

I chose long ago to do this work: it is more important than getting paid to do it. That would hold it back.
