controller of our moments and happenstances
dictator, judge, father,
in single lives—Jesus, Muhammad, Gautama—
giver of gifts, maker right of all things
To be whom we don’t know and hold,
to be G*d’s true self,
let us set G*d free

and vast on the inside
where we can meet

Transcendingly immanent
Immanently transcendent
gives us power to be
vastly intimate

The higher heart
in this person
seek out
speak here

Let us make a sacred promise to our community’s worth.

Silence
has its role
in our community
open
yes, fear
then enter

To roll
and unroll
is our role
to enfold
to unfold
makes our world

Our holeness, without the W, is what leads us to whole. We need each other, for our separate holes, incompletenesses, imperfections. It is here where our growing edges are.

Where we have reached completeness, where we have stopped growing, we have calcified. We can no longer connect there. There we can be no longer human.

It is only on our soft edges, only on our broken places, that others fit. And when we fit, we fiddle.
