Snowflakes falling

Snowflakes falling
sparkling, cleaning,
making the world new
little pieces of G-d

More is up to us

There is more to the world than we have seen; there is more to us than we have been; there is more possible and more actual; we are the more and so is G-d. We live in more. More is extraordinary and ordinary; magic and love and feet among the weeds. The world’s more is up to us.

The contrary of war is imagination
The contrary of peace is empty
The contrary of love is fear
The contrary of freedom is security
The contrary of ripe is scatter

What can you give?

Can we live in a larger world than ever we have before? What will it take? What can you give? A dream…some sweat…some inviting others to join in?

In people is hope

Government is war upon people. Only when it is people is it possible to be peaceful. But always to govern is to restrict and to restrict is to war. Upon something or someone. In people is hope.

People are for making peace

Governments are for making war; people are for making peace.

We are living small

We are living small. We are taking up too little space. We need to reach out our arms and our feet and touch more of the world, more of the world’s peoples, be touched by it and them. It would be good that we took up so much of the world’s resources if we were also giving that to the rest of the world. Selflessness is what we need, reaching out and making a larger world.

The world is larger than we see

The world is larger than we see
Buds on branches of G*d are we
Whose branches are not fixed in place
And for this larger we float free!

Faith is about

Faith is not about whether G*d exists, but about G*d’s promises.

Why we need to change the world

We need change because the world is growing and wants to live. Life seeks change. There is nothing static about life. G*d, being life and living, is all about meeting and changing.

Thinking is too small

Thinking is too small, limited by what we have thought before. Imagining is even larger, but imagining between and among is the largest we can do. We need to get at least that large.

Larger than we know

The world is larger than we know
and ever larger still
So get to work and give our all

You’ll go crazy

If you spend your whole time thinking of yourself, you’ll go crazy. This differs from letting yourself come through in conversation. The first defines limits and bollixes you; the second opens you out, gives you air & sun & water to grow, proves the real you is larger than your skin & out here between.

In that time
Possibility emerges
Meeting is beginning

Not the talking
It is the coursing
Meeting is beginning

Tiny, a bird springs to life
Wings for us a way
Meeting is beginning

A path that already is

If it’s a path that already is
It’s not the path for you
The world forever needs a path
That’s of a larger hue

A larger world is smaller too

A larger world is smaller too
In many ways like this
Everybody knows everybody else
And all there is to know
And all there is to learn
Is larger too & smaller too than this

Barriers do not exist

Barriers do not exist. Not intrinsically. They are not built in to our society. Even if they have been a part of our dominant and dominating culture for 300 or more years. They are something that some of us are doing. To others of us. These others of us, and the many others of us, can choose to make a world without barriers, to include people in, to draw larger circles. Let’s!

Wide—as from dreams to star-filled skies
Here—as the splinters in our palms
To us our work—to us theophany
