aromas and textures
colors!

as much as the words
the work of the poem
is the poet
even more than the other way round
and when all is written
is nothing written yet
a door opens

Conversations that matter with people who matter
:- Doug.
When people meet
imagined differences of ego
fall away in the face of
imaginative differences of truth
:- Doug.
We do not transcend differences
—Why would we ever want to?—
We explore to see how we are woven
and from that we work a tapestry
—living—
to find that tapestries sing, dance, work, and grow
:- Doug.
The higher ground is the common ground.

the same way and differently:
We have the way of the human
We are individuals embedded in communities
within communities
Choices from the same list
lead to different paths
yet when we hear the stories
we can hear the same heart thrum
for home

meets emergence
turns the spiral
into a vortex
up and out
