In the midst we stand
of a slow motion carnage
because it moves imperceptibly
we do not see
unless we look
we do nothing
as with greed we destroy
money is our god
it is god’s will
we burn our air
destroy our rain forests
enslave our babies to perversion
break our strong youth in war
