Larger made of smaller

Structures are larger made of smaller, ↑. Properties emerge from the aggregate, ↓. Together, they describe the enigma of living beings.

Look at it this way, too: as we living becomings age, the arrows reverse. We grow “up” from infants to toddlers to children through teens and adult years; slowly at first we begin to fall apart. We lose stature and muscle. Then things that become noticeable in young-old years, in old-old years gives way to avalanche.

The same is true of the other arrow: we learn we learn and build up knowledge and experience in early years, then we gather and share wisdom, a building up of the species.

So two arrows in the same individuals, opposite directions. When they clash? Perhaps this is the time the individual dies and the groups war. Or something else. What do you think?
