An impossibly large and long project
This idea that changing the meaning changes the world has me. That is the work of elders For the Grandchildren. We change the meaning of living. It is an impossibly large and long project, and necessary. There are different aspects of it, and we can all go at it from different directions: hugging and playing, spiritually, religiously, politically, psychologically, socially, more. Let’s not get hung up on the approaches we don’t know or don’t like—let’s find and create the new meaning, take a crack at it, and ask the help of the grandchildren.
