The rational and the sacred

People are not solely rational. People need the supra-rational. People need to include more than just Dollars and Numbers and Bottom Lines, for as sacred as we want to make them, we know these are not the Sacred.

So when I get into an “argument” with the “rational” I need to have a red flag wave: is this All? Is there More? What are our assumptions? What foundations can I see here? Let us reason together and see if they are all true.

Is it true that everybody, or even the majority of people are grabbing for self only? Do you? Do I? Is it true that everybody must pay the same fare for the plane to fly?

Acknowledge the rational, maybe saying it is one way we need to look at it, but not the only way. We need to include the including.
